What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing modality that translates to ‘universal lifeforce’. That puts the recipient in a deep mediative state where healing can occur.


How does Reiki work?

Reiki is a complimentary treatment for western medicine and is a non-invasive gentle touch practice used to interact with a consenting persons energy. As practioners we channel the lifeforce energy to assist you to go into a deep mediative state for healing to occur.


What does Reiki do?

Reiki is aimed at increasing energy levels by promoting wellbeing and relaxation. It also gives you the space to connect in with yourself and move energy through the chakra system.


What does Reiki feel like?

Reiki is often described as a sense of calm, joy and deep rest. It is important to remember each experience is unique and it can depend on what your needs are in that moment.


Reasons to get Reiki?

· Feeling stressed or overwhelmed

· Tired or unable to sleep.

· At times of change and transition

· Feeling disconnected from your body


What to do to prepare for a Reiki Session?

Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and drink plenty of water prior to a reiki session this will help you to be comfortable during the session.


I also suggest coming to a session with an open mind, set the intention to allow yourself to receive, after all this reiki session is for you.


What to do after a Reiki Session

After a reiki session it is recommended to do low impact activities, drink plenty of water and give yourself the space to move through what surfaces, as the reiki energy continues to work through your energy body.


Who can give Reiki?

A Reiki practioner is someone who has gone through level’s 1 and 2 in Reiki. Meaning they have undergone training by a Reiki Master over a 6month period. Reiki practioners will usually have their certification on display and are apart of a reiki association.
